A couple of weeks ago, in response to Nate Cardin's pangram midi puzzle, I challenged constructors to make a clean 7×7 pangram — something that I surmised was impossible, after having tried several times. Enrique, the excellent constructor behind Datalexic Crosswords, took notice: he crafted not just one but four valid 7×7 pangram grids! One of them was a clear standout, and I'm excited to run it today.
Let me use this space to clarify that while I may have originated the Pangram Midi format, anyone is free to make and publish their own pangram midi puzzles. I've received a lot of positive feedback about this puzzle type — it seems to appeal to crossword solvers, logic puzzle fans, and constructors alike — and I'd love to see it flourish. Take this as another challenge, constructors: go forth and pangramify!
